Three ways to turn finished jobs into Xero invoices.

Typing them into Xero yourself, using a job-management app, or using Xevrion. What each one does, and when each is the right choice. Including when Xevrion is not.

The short answer

If you bill a few jobs a week, typing them into Xero works. If you need to plan, quote and run jobs, a job-management app does all of that. It can also send invoices to Xero. Xevrion fits in between. It turns each finished job, with its proof and agreed price, into a checked Xero draft. It never sends the invoice for you.

Choosing

When each one is the right choice.

By hand in Xero

You bill a few jobs a week and like to type each invoice yourself.

A job-management app

You need to schedule, quote and track jobs for a team in the field. That is what these apps are for.

Xevrion

You already record jobs your own way and want each finished job to become a checked Xero draft with its proof, plus help chasing payment and answering enquiries.

When Xevrion is not right

Xevrion is not the right choice if you need scheduling, quoting or a mobile app for your team, if you use QuickBooks (Completed work needs Xero), or if you want invoices issued with no one checking them.

Questions

About this comparison.

Can I use Xevrion with a job-management app?

Yes, if the app does not already create the invoice in Xero. Otherwise you could bill the same job twice, so use one route for each job.

Does Xevrion send the invoice?

No. It makes a Xero draft after a person approves it. You issue it from Xero.

Does it work with QuickBooks?

Not for this service. Completed work needs Xero. Invoice follow-up works with Xero or QuickBooks.
