Four ways to chase unpaid invoices.

Doing it yourself, Xero's own reminders, a credit-control tool, or Xevrion. What each one does, what it costs you in time and money, and when each is the right choice. Including when Xevrion is not.

The short answer

For a few late invoices, an email from your own inbox works. Xero's reminders go out on a schedule. Nobody checks each one. A credit-control tool suits a team that chases many accounts a day. Xevrion drafts each reminder by your rules. It checks the balance again, then waits for your approval before anything is sent.

Choosing

When each one is the right choice.

Doing it yourself

You have a handful of late invoices a month, and you know each customer well.

Xero's own reminders

You want simple reminders that go out on time, and you are happy for them to send without a check each time.

A credit-control tool

You have a person or team whose job is chasing many accounts, and you need a full credit-control process.

Xevrion

You want reminders written for you but checked by a person, chasing that stops when a customer replies, and help with enquiries and job billing too.

When Xevrion is not right

Xevrion is not the right choice if you want reminders to send with no approval step, if you do not use Xero or QuickBooks, or if you need phone chasing or a debt collection agency.

Questions

About this comparison.

Can I use Xero's reminders and Xevrion together?

It is better not to: a customer could get two reminders for the same invoice. Switch Xero's reminders off for the invoices Xevrion follows up.

Does Xevrion phone customers?

No. It drafts emails that you approve, sent from your own inbox.

Does Xevrion use AI to chase?

No. Invoice follow-up follows your rules. Where money is involved, the same facts always give the same result.
