Connecting Xero, Microsoft 365 and Google

Exactly what to do to connect each tool, which steps are temporary and what Xevrion may read or change.

Before you start

You need someone who can sign in to each tool as an administrator. Today, Xero, Microsoft 365 and Google each need one extra step: your administrator registers a small app in your own account with that company. Steps marked Temporary go away once Xevrion's shared apps are approved. Then you will only press Connect and approve. Everything else here stays the same.

Every tool asks for the same redirect address: https://api.xevrion.co.uk/v1/public/saas/integrations/callback

Xero

Used by Invoice follow-up and Completed work.

  1. Temporary Go to developer.xero.com. Choose New app and the type Web app.
  2. Temporary Enter https://xevrion.co.uk as the company address, and the redirect address shown above.
  3. Temporary Open Configuration and choose Generate a secret.
  4. Temporary In Xevrion, open Connections, then More tools, then Use your own app. Paste the client ID and secret. The secret is sealed and never shown again.
  5. Press Connect next to Xero. Sign in to Xero, choose your organisation and approve.

Microsoft 365

Used by Customer replies and to send approved reminders.

  1. Temporary Go to entra.microsoft.com, then App registrations, then New registration. Choose the platform Web and add the redirect address.
  2. Temporary Open Certificates & secrets and add a new client secret. Copy its value straight away.
  3. Temporary Open API permissions. Add Microsoft Graph delegated permissions: openid, offline_access, User.Read, Mail.Read and Mail.Send. Your administrator may need to grant consent.
  4. Temporary In Xevrion, open Connections, then More tools, then Use your own app. Paste the client ID and secret. The secret is sealed and never shown again.
  5. Press Connect next to Microsoft 365. Sign in and approve.

Google (Gmail)

Used by Customer replies and to send approved reminders.

  1. Temporary This needs a Google Workspace account. Go to console.cloud.google.com and create a project. Turn on the Gmail API.
  2. Temporary Set up the OAuth consent screen with the user type Internal. An internal app needs no review by Google.
  3. Temporary Create an OAuth client of the type Web application and add the redirect address. Add the scopes gmail.readonly and gmail.send.
  4. Temporary In Xevrion, open Connections, then More tools, then Use your own app. Paste the client ID and secret. The secret is sealed and never shown again.
  5. Press Connect next to Gmail. Sign in and approve.

QuickBooks

The same pattern works at developer.intuit.com. Intuit gives live keys only after you complete its production settings. If you get stuck, write to us.
